Ron Trossbach - US Sailing Sailor of the Week 
CCA Member, retired US Navy Captain Ron Trossbach, was named US Sailing's Sailor of the Week for April 30, 2008. For the last 18 years Ron has been editor of the US edition of the ISAF Offshore Special Regulations, and is one of only five Safety at Sea seminar moderators. Everyone who knows Ron knows what a Godsend he is to offshore safety. read more

2007 Blue Water Medal and Rod Stephens Trophy Presented
The 2007 Awards were presented at a dinner at the New York Yacht Club on January 15. Peter Passano was presented with the Prestigious Blue Water Medal, Mike Golding won the Rod Stephens Trophy, and Gillian West the Far Horizons Award. CCA Member Awards were also presented.

Centennial Bermuda Race DVD Now Available
Gary Jobson's film, "Racing to Bermuda: A Century on the Ocean" is now available on DVD. This magnificent movie captures the essense of the Newport Bermuda Race through footage taken aboard yachts competing in the Centennial Race in 2006, as well as historic views of past races, yachts and sailors.
