REMINDER, REMINDER-- AND CHANGE OF COURSE! In lieu of a standard monthly business meeting of the San Francisco Station of the Cruising Club of America, our members may wish to attend the Yachting Speaker Series presentation at the St. Francis Yacht Club, 700 Marina Blvd, in San Francisco on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.   This will not be a Station business meeting.

Since the earlier announcement, there has been A CHANGE OF COURSE: Instead of Bill Wells, OUR SPEAKER WILL BE  PAIGE RAILEY. .

.        Paige set her sights on an Olympic campaign after winning her first Youth World Championship at the age of sixteen. Over the years she has won 9 World Championship medals, 2 Pan American Games, 2006 Female Rolex World Sailor of the Year, 2006, US Sailing Female Rolex Sailor Year and has been to two Olympic Games. Currently she is shortlisted for the 2018 US Sailing Female Rolex Sailor of the Year.  A Gold medal at the Olympics would solidify her successful Laser Radial career leaving her with a feeling of winning every major event in her class.
Those who have already registered and paid to hear Bill Weeks may request and receive a refund if you wish to-- but Paige is outstanding!

The St. Francis charges its members and their guests about $20.00.  Non-members of the St. Francis are charged $40.00.  For this, you get Bill and a buffet lunch.  Drinks are extra.  So, here's the deal:

CCA Station members who are also members of the St. Francis should simply go to the Speakers Series as a St. Francis member, and we'll see you there.  YOU SHOULD NOT REGISTER BELOW.

CCA Station members who are not members of the St. Francis Y.C., but would like to attend, can do so as the guest of the Rear Commodore (well sort of).  To take a chance on this extraordinary opportunity, you should register below as you ordinarily would. The charge will be $22.00 per person, and as the R.C.'s guest, you will be covered.  He will be charged the actual amount by the St. Francis, but the Station will reimburse him for these charges with the registration fees the Station receives for this event (any excess will be contributed to the Station).  There are two caveats, however:  You need to register by midnight on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 3!!  Otherwise, you will not be on the R.C.'s list at the St. Francis, so you will be treated as a walk-in, and be charged accordingly; and (ii) this arrangement won't cover bar charges (which are individually paid for), so you will have to figure that part out accordingly.  Those who timely register should check in at the St. Francis front desk, and you will be issued a guest card for the event.

If you plan to attend, and are not a member of the St. Francis Yacht Club, please register where indicated below.
