Mother and Daughter Team Saving Our Oceans, One Expedition at a Time

 

Dr. Sylvia Earle, Marine Biologist, Oceanographer, National Geographic Explorer; Liz Taylor, CEO DOER Marine

 

World renowned explorer, author and lecturer Sylvia Earle was NOAA’s first female Chief Scientist and was named Time Magazine’s first Hero for the Planet in 1998. Along with Dr. Jane Goodall, Sir Richard Branson, Ted Turner and Jean-Michel Cousteau, Sylvia has been named an Ocean Elder—part of a prestigious, independent group dedicated to protecting the ocean and its wildlife. She continues to travel the world exploring and SCUBA diving while promoting "Hope Spots" to foster ocean health. 

 

Sylvia’s daughter, Liz Taylor leads a Deep Ocean Exploration and Research marine consulting firm. Today's fascinating program is a combined meeting of StFYC’s Wednesday Yachting Luncheon and the San Francisco Station of the Cruising Club of America.

 

Wednesday, March 27. Luncheon starts at 12:00pm; Show starts at 12:30pm. 

Register below. Saint Francis members should indicate that they will use a member charge. We will tell the club you are coming. Similarly, Guests of StFYC should do the same.
