Hi All,

This might be a topic to be covered a pending guide for the Kinsale cruise, but here goes...

I'm beginning some deeper planning around the feasibility of my joining the 2025 cruise, making a transat from the Northeast USA. The topics of interest and concern are many, but I'd greatly appreciate:

1. Advice and recommendations for facilities to whom I could entrust my beloved boat over winter. My route planning is in the earliest stages, and I'd certainly plan around making my way to a capable and trustworthy yard somewhere in the UK. 

    

2. Comments on whether it's common in the UK for a yard to permit an owner to perform work and/or maintenance. 

    

3. Ballpark costs of storing a 42ft sailboat for the winter, not considering any professional maintenance I might require.
